Beyond the Bubble: What do Britons really think of Labour? - The Labour Party Conference 2022

This year, Ipsos’ Beyond the Bubble event at the Labour Party Conference will discuss what Britons really think about politics and what this could mean for the Labour party.

Looking at the latest polls, our panel of leading academics, politicians, and the media will consider public opinion on Labour's performance over the last two and half years and question: Is it enough? What’s been done well? What are the party's strengths and weaknesses? How do these compare to its opponents? What does this mean for the party’s future?

Chaired by Kelly Beaver MBE, Chief Executive of Ipsos in the UK and Ireland, this event will include a short presentation from Keiran Pedley, Research Director at Ipsos, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.

Speakers

  • Keiran Pedley, Director of Politics, Ipsos in the UK
  • Bridget Phillipson, MP for Houghton and Sunderland South, and Shadow Secretary for Education
  • Cllr Adam Hug, Leader of Westminster City Council, and Labour Councillor for Westbourne ward
  • Prof. Jane Green, Director of Nuffield Politics Research Centre, and Co-Director of the British Election Study

You can now watch the Beyond the Bubble fringe event recording - including a presentation from our Politics team, contribution from our panel, and questions from our audience - on the Ipsos UK YouTube Channel, here.
