Citizen and stakeholder consultations
Ipsos utilises a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies including face to face, telephone, mail, online, social media, social listening, community consultations, focus groups (both in-person and online), in-depth interviews, CitizensLabs, and ethnography to solicit citizen/stakeholder opinion on a variety of top issues and concerns, and provide information and evidence that help decision makers within the public sector develop and evaluate their policies, programmes and communications. A federal government department surveying attitudes around the globe to nuclear power, public opinion and alternative energy sources, global concern about long-term environmental and energy policy issues in order to make policy decisions about alternative energy generation.
A national health survey to assess the health status of the population, identify major health problems & health care needs, determine the utilisation of health care services and consumers’ satisfaction, estimate prevalence and distribution of health indicators, and get an accurate insight into gender, age-group, socio-economic and geographic disparities in health status, exposure to risk factors, utilisation of health services and to study possible trends in the health status of the population. The results were used to provide recommendations for future programs and inform policy development.
A government department qualitative consultation to help inform the deliver for a new policy aimed at the cost of childcare for working families. The results were used to understand what eligible parents wanted to know about the policy, how they wanted this communicated, and what would encourage them to register early on in the process.
