Definition

An Online Discussion Group is a group of individuals with similar interest who gather either formally or informally to bring up ideas, solve problems or give comments. Members of a group can generally post text, as well as photos and videos. However, unlike a chat room this is an asynchronous environment.
Within Ipsos Online Discussion Groups are used most often to support QualSpace Forum and Online Communities. QualSpace groups are generally moderated with 1-10 members, while online communities encourage both moderated and member-to-member discussions with significantly larger groups (10-100+).
