74% of doctors use the Internet for professional purposes

Results of the spring 2015 wave of syndicated survey Medi-Q "Doctors` opinion survey"

The proportion of doctors who use the Internet for professional purposes, increased by 8% to 74% over the last year. These are the results of the spring 2015 wave of syndicated survey Medi-Q "Doctors` Opinion Survey" (Ipsos Healthcare Russia). At the same time 33% of respondents do it every day.

Main part of doctors prefer to use the Internet at home (88%), about half of the physicians apply the internet for professional purposes at work (52%).

Mainly doctors search in the internet  information about medicines (92%), scientific articles, results of clinical trials (66%) and medical news (50%).

Urologists (82%), rheumatologists (81%) and ophthalmologists (81%) use of the Internet for professional purposes more than the other specialities .

The highest proportion of doctors who use the Internet for professional purposes marked in Moscow (83%), Irkutsk (81%) and Chelyabinsk (81%).
