Ipsos MORI North
Ipsos MORI North combines local knowledge with access to sector-leading National and International expertise and capacity. The Northern Powerhouse agenda and the move towards the devolution of Central Government powers to local regions means that now, more than ever, it is important to have a regional office situated in the North of England. This Manchester based team has served local and national clients since 2000.
Having a regional rather than a policy led remit means that we have a wide range of clients with a broad range of requirements from resident engagement activities and employee surveys, to business and stakeholder work, consultations and evaluations. We do, however, have key areas of focus, specifically:
- Local government and community governance, particularly in relation to devolution.
- Transport and infrastructure activities such as the HS2 Ltd and Transport for Greater Manchester research programmes.
- Crime and justice.
- Environment and sustainability research which tends to have a National focus for clients such as the Environment Agency, DECC and BEIS.
We deliver sector-leading qualitative and quantitative research. Available techniques range from the traditional; such as face-to-face and telephone interviewing, to the cutting edge; including facial recognition and augmented reality. The North office has led on the development and testing of innovative techniques such as mobile research, using geo-fencing to trigger surveys in specific locations.
We also use behavioural science approaches to deepen our understanding of respondents’ attitudes and actions. Our clients benefit from analytical approaches such as regression analysis, segmentation and generational analysis and, where relevant, local, national or international benchmarking is incorporated to enable our clients to contextualise their findings.
