The Ipsos MORI Health and Social Care team specialises in research, evaluation and consultations for the NHS and wider health and social care sector. We offer clients tailored solutions, using the full range of qualitative and quantitative methods, and produce insightful and useable outputs that stand up to scrutiny.
The Health and Social Care team we carry out a range of research to explore people’s use of care and support services, and to understand people’s experiences of living with disability and accessing benefits. We have also explored understanding of social care among the general population, and measured public attitudes to disability. Our research in this area includes depth interviews, ethnography, surveys and use of secondary data analysis.
Research related to social care and disability often involves vulnerable audiences and we are fully aware of our ethical obligations toward research participants. Indeed, we are the only research agency in the UK to have two members of staff who sit on the national Social Care Research Ethics Committee. Our research team is experienced in conducting research among older people, those with dementia and people with different types of impairment.
Within the the Ipsos MORI Health and Social Care team we specialise in public health research. We have a long history of working with national bodies, local government and voluntary agencies to understand and promote the health and well being of local populations through understanding population health profiles, analysing individuals’ health attitudes and behaviours, and informing preventative interventions and service redesign.

Ipsos MORI's Research Methods Centre (RMC) is a specialist unit that provides expertise on a wide range of survey methodological matters, including sampling and weighting, to researchers across the company, and to clients. The RMC is a widely respected methodological unit with a mission to disseminate quantitative methodological knowledge and expertise across the company and across the social research industry more widely.
Ipsos MORI’s science team is expert in conducting research into attitudes to science and its application, amongst the general public as well as specific audiences. Clients include the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Wellcome Trust and various UK research councils and regulatory bodies. Our findings are used widely by policy-makers and academics looking to understand public engagement with science.
