As the dust settles on the Scottish Parliament election, Ipsos MORI have been recognised for producing the most accurate polls in predicting the outcome. Respected PR firm Weber Shandwick, who produced the Scotland Votes website in the run-up to the election, compared the final polls from all the pollsters to the actual election results. Ipsos MORI emerged as the most accurate on both the constituency and regional list votes. The poll, published on 21st April, highlighted the extent of the lead which the SNP had built up over Labour on both the constituency and regional list votes. This followed on from Ipsos MORI’s February poll, which was the first to spot the shift from Labour to the SNP.
