Stephen Huang - Executive Director, Ipsos UU Qualitative Research, Ipsos in Hong Kong
Stephen is an Executive Director and leads Ipsos UU, the qualitative research division in Hong Kong.
Stephen began his career in Taiwan with a leading international research agency before joining OMD (Optimum Media Direction), part of the world’s largest communication group as Head of Communication Insight. His key focus was on advertising and media research. Then he moved into a marketing/branding role with Philip Morris. He was with Nokia as Sales Planning Manager, focused on customer insights and retail audit/sales information system.
Stephen joined Ipsos in 2006 leading the qualitative research team, still heavily involved in conducting research himself across the Asia Pacific. His specialization spread across categories, some of his most recent studies relating to the luxury industry include interviews affluent VIP segments for world-class casinos and hotels in Macau on service offerings, understanding of needs/expectations of high net worth individuals for private banks and insurance companies, and conducted large scale segmentation projects for the Automotive Industry.
