Digital Adoption During the Pandemic in Kuwait
Changes in habits during the pandemic have impacted various parts of our lives, but none more so than on the digital front. In Kuwait, during the pandemic 97% used social media followed by video calling (90%), online banking (84%) and video streaming (83%). Amongst the lowest used digital services in the last year were ride hailing apps.
People are expecting their post-pandemic usage levels to decline across most services however, with the exception of ride-hailing apps which are expected to increase.
When it comes to the perceived readiness levels of various sectors to digitally transform, around 80% in Kuwait feel that telecom providers and the government were ready to shift to providing services online, while around 58% believed that businesses were able to move to remote working.
