Climate Change and Pakistan
Below are the main highlights of the study:
1. The study is based on the globally recognized Ipsos Sustainability Segmentation Framework, which has been used across 15+ countries.
2. Segments are identified along two key dimensions:
- Level of concern for the environment.
- Extent of individual action or intended action to reduce personal environmental impact.
3. Pakistan has a notably lower proportion of climate activists (12%) compared to the global average of 17%.
4. In contrast, the share of disengaged denialists is significantly higher in Pakistan (28%) than the global average of 19%.
5. There are fewer proactive contributors and a stronger presence of individuals dismissing environmental concerns.
