What Worries Denmark? - December 2023

Inflation, climate change, and health have been concerns for the Danes in 2023. Read more about the topics that concern the Danes the most.

2023 has been a year that started out with a lot of people worrying about inflation, being the top worry in January and February before decreasing steadily month by month. The worry for inflation peaked in December 2022 being 22% of Danes top worry at the time and has since decreased dramatically to only be 6% of Danes top worry in December 2023.

 

As the year comes to an end, we see the top 3 being identical to the top 3 worries of November and October. “Climate change” is the top worry for Danes with 14,29% of Danes finding it to be their top worry. In second we see “Healthcare” being the second biggest worry for Danes with 13,02% of Danes finding it to be their top worry. The third biggest worry for Danes is “Social Programs / welfare state” being 9,78% of Danes top worry.

About the study
This study surveys a nationally representative sample of adults aged 18+ across various regions of Denmark, with 500 interviews conducted per month. Weighting has been employed to balance demographics and ensure that the sample’s composition reflects that of the adult population according to the most recent Danish census data.
