Pakistan General Elections 2024 - Perception on Transparency and Rigging
Here are key points of the survey:
1. Views on Polling Day Processes: A majority (58%) of Pakistanis believe that the polling day processes were fair and transparent. The remaining respondents were either skeptical (24%) or neutral (18%) regarding these processes. However, in KPK, only 33% believe that the election day processes were fair and transparent.
2. Overall Perception of Rigging in Elections: There's a division in opinion regarding whether the elections were rigged or not. 54% of Pakistanis believe the elections were overall transparent, while 39% think they were rigged. The highest perception of rigging is in KP (73%), followed by Islamabad (49%). The least perception of rigging is in Sindh (28%).
3. Views on the discontinuation of mobile connections: Opinions are split regarding whether the discontinuation of mobile phone connections was a good or bad initiative. 33% of respondents say it was a good decision, while 29% believe it was a bad one. The remaining respondents preferred to remain neutral. Highest satisfaction with discontinuation was in Baluchistan and lowest in KPK.
