疫情之下,遊戲產業的現況與挑戰

隨著COVID-19疫情發展,世界各國政府和企業紛紛要求人們保持社交距離,大家待在家的時間變長,間接帶動了遊戲產業的蓬勃發展。As COVID-19 continues, government and businesses have asked people to maintain social distancing. People hence have had several ways to spend their added time at home, including play games.

遊戲引擎廠商Unity Technologies20206月報告顯示,玩家在疫情期間花在玩遊戲時間明顯變長了,相較於去年同期,全球電腦遊戲日活躍用戶(Daily Active User, DAU)增加41%,手遊DAU也有17%的成長。周末和周間遊戲時間越趨模糊,疫情發生前,周間(周一~周四)和周末(週五~周日)每日遊戲時間占比差距為1.5%,疫情後,周間和周末每日遊戲時間占比差距縮至0.56%
 
As the report released on June 2020 by Unity Technology3 shows that more people are playing than ever. The daily active users (DAU) of PC games have grew 41% comparing to last year. Meanwhile, an increase of 17% is seen in mobile games DAU. The gaming time differences between weekend and weekday are narrowing from 1.5% to 0.56%.
