A new global study by Ipsos, carried out online among adults across 28 countries between February 22 and March 8, 2019, finds that while people worldwide have a myriad of concerns when it comes to environmental issues, climate change has climbed in importance since last year.

Every year, Ipsos surveys Australians to understand changes in our attitudes and sentiments relating to climate change and other environmental issues.

Inflation has now been the top global concern in our What Worries the World survey for the last 16 months.

Purchasing power is now the key priority on a global level. Despite the importance they attribute to the climate and extreme weather events, people are less inclined to become involved and are more dubious as to the human origins of the phenomenon.
