What Worries Denmark - January 2022

The restrictions related to Covid-19 tightened in December, for why we see a continued worry about Covid-19 in January. However, with the restrictions lifted from 1st of February, perhaps worries about Climate Change and Healthcare will see a comeback.

During January, COVID-19 kept lying in top of Danes' worries, which has been an upcoming concern in recent months. However, Denmark received happy and liberating news from the government; from the 1st of February all restrictions will be lifted. COVID-19 will no longer be categorised as a “socially critical illness” and the nation will "go back to life as we knew it before corona”. This is an interesting juncture to keep an eye on for the next few months. 

Along with  COVID-19 in the top of worries, we also see worries about Climate Change and Health Care as essential worries for Danes.  

 

The Biggest Worries chart refers to an individual’s perception of the largest/most top-of-mind challenge Denmark is dealing with today.

 

The Total Worries chart encompasses the biggest worries and the respondents’ other worries combined.  

 

About the study
This study surveys a nationally representative sample of adults aged 18+ across various regions of Denmark, with 1000 interviews conducted per month. Weighting has been employed to balance demographics and ensure that the sample’s composition reflects that of the adult population according to the most recent Danish census data.
