Public Opinion on French President's Visit to Lebanon

How do the Lebanese people feel about Emmanuel Macron's visit post the Beirut Port explosion?

Ipsos conducted a public poll on August 7 and 8, 2020, about the general sentiment and perceptions of Lebanese people about French President, Emmanuel Macron's visit to Lebanon after the Beirut Port explosion.

Questions were linked to the general situation and whether the Lebanese believe the country is headed in the right direction, whereby the majority of those surveyed (85%) said the country is headed in the wrong direction. 

They were also asked about how they read President Macron's visit and if it has a positive or negative impact on the current situation in Lebanon.

When it came to the future outlook, 1 in 2 said that the coming six months will hold worse economic and political situations.
