Spotlight*Lebanon: Views on Gender Equality

While 7 in 10 people in Lebanon believe gender equality benefits both genders, only 27% actively take action to promote it.

The findings indicate that 3 in 5 people believe achieving gender equality should be a current priority, highlighting the main challenges women face in Lebanon: legal issues (50%) and harassment (31%). 

Additionally, about half of the population recognizes the importance of men supporting women in achieving equality.
