The Global Oncology Monitor is a syndicated patient chart review study that tracks usage of treatments across all cancer types. This is done using representative panels of cancer treating physicians who complete forms directly from reviewing patients’ medical charts.
Data Quality Specialist – Ipsos Healthcare
Ipsos is looking for an individual to join the Oncology Monitor as part of the Data Processing and Quality team. This team is responsible for reviewing the data on an ongoing basis to ensure it meets the highest quality standards required to maintain this critical landmark product. The ideal candidate will be data focused and detail oriented, with an inherent desire for learning new things and the ability to take on a multitude of varying assignments.
Responsibilities
- Review top-level data and error reports during the field period to flag any questionable respondents
- Identify potential records to be replaced
- Verify a suitable mix of records is being submitted
- Track feedback from analysts regarding requested data edits
- Highlight potential for automating certain requests
- Assist with actual data cleaning
- Conduct desk research to verify data, when necessary
- Increase overall oncology knowledge and keep up to date on market developments such as new drug launches, changes in drug approvals, etc.
Qualifications
- College graduate or relevant data processing experience
- Detail-oriented
- Data driven; enjoys working with vast data sets
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Adaptable to using various software tools
- Ability to efficiently conduct online research
- Good time management and prioritization skills
- Healthcare knowledge a plus, especially oncology knowledge
