SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - GMU INNO

PURPOSE

  • The main function of the data analyst/data scientist in this team is to provide support to the global Ipsos research/account group on analytics execution which includes the delivery of Ipsos proprietary tools and custom statistical solution.
  • This team also act as a consultant to global Ipsos research/account group, in particular this includes providing guidance on suitable analytics at the proposal stage as well as designing the questionnaire to make sure it’s optimised for the required analytics or things are set up in order to maximise costing and timing efficiency.
  • This team also play a developmental role, constantly looking to incorporate new tools and thinking in analytics that can better meet our clients’ needs, and also train the Ipsos researchers to help them deliver confidently on Ipsos analytics solutions.
  • The role will require working closely with client service teams across all regions, liaising with the advanced analytics GMU MSU team. The team members all are passionate, share a positive attitude, problem solving abilities and patience, enabling them to provide excellent customer service even during fast-paced shifts.

OUTPUTS/ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Communicating with client service to understand data content, business and analysis requirement
  • Ability to break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution
  • Perform statistical analysis on data, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, interpret and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy, and finally to prepare core deliverables or report (PowerPoint)
  • Manage and monitor all phases of multiple and complex research projects from commissioning to delivery
  • Carry out tasks displaying well-developed project management skills, knowledge, thoughts and deep insight knowledge
  • Keep abreast of current trends within market research, to develop personal skills / knowledge base and display specialist knowledge of a market and share this with others
  • Demonstrate strong supervisory skills; i.e. project delegation, time management, day-to-day feedback on performance and behavior, conduct performance reviews. Ensure the project team is properly utilized
  • Keenness to learn and proactive self-development and development of others
  • Assist with recruitment of junior staff

BACKGROUND

Experience:

  • At least five to six years of strong Market Research Experience or experiences in marketing data analytics/data science or similar fields
  • Understand and use statistical analysis
  • Solid experience in project management
  • Ideally, experienced in guiding research methodology and design, experienced in relevant category or sectors in project management capacity
  • Bonus: Experience studying marketing analytics
