Business Division Overview    
The Marketing Communications department is a part of the Corporate area of the Ipsos business, which includes HR, Finance and IT. It is responsible for developing solutions to raise the profile of Ipsos in  and marketing solutions for the business, which focus on corporate identity, brand recognition and market presence to support the business strategy for growth for Ipsos Asia Pacific.

 

Key Accountabilities    
As Ipsos’ Video Editor, you will be responsible for cutting footage, developing in-house corporate films, producing digital spots and campaigns, fulfilling video client deliverables and other special video content.

 

Role reports directly to APEC Studio Manager in Kula Lumpur and will collaborate with the members of the APEC Creative team and APEC Marketing & Communications team.


Key Performance Indicators (required outcomes)    

  • Pro-active attitude with the ability to take initiative
  • Take responsibility for quality control of video outputs
  • Maintain asset database including, but not limited to design templates and assets library and to ensure brand adherence
  • Successful delivery of high-end videos, from creative concepts to completion, for both internal and external video requirements, including social content for multi-platform use
  • Appreciation of project deadlines with adherence to allocated time-frames with a level of efficiency with minimal issues during the project span.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of seniority and to build relationships quickly internally and externally

 

Competencies    

  • Elegant design aesthetic and appreciation of contemporary graphical styles
  • Understanding of fundamental design, typographical and colour principles
  • Understanding of video production and knowledge of emerging creative techniques
  • Ability to create bullet-proof, ready-to-publish art
  • The ability to think creatively and deliver clever concepts
  • Perform basic video editing tasks such as correcting videos, selecting or developing background music/sound effects, and other special effects
  • Working knowledge on animation/motion graphics relative to creating video title cards, credits
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Fluency in English is a must.
  • Ability to see concepts to final design aligned with client guidelines and approved brief
  • Excellent organisational skills – able to manage and take ownership of a variety of projects to a high standard within tight deadlines
  • The ability to keep a cool head and meet deadlines
  • Problem solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to self-check own work and that of others

 

Qualifications and Experience   

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in film & video production
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in video editing and production
