SENIOR DATA ANALYST - GMU INNO

PURPOSE

o    Provide analytical modelling and solution to the Ipsos research/account team worldwide.
o    Guide, optimize study and questionnaire design for efficient analytics and cost management.
o    Drive the integration of new tools and innovative thinking in analytics to better meet client needs.

The role will require working closely with client service teams across all regions, The team members all are passionate, share a positive attitude, problem solving abilities and patience, enabling them to provide excellent customer service even during fast-paced shifts.

OUTPUTS/ACCOUNTABILITY  

  • Lead on execution of day-to-day requests for data analysis and data manipulation to support client requests
  • Review, analyse and distil data to find stories to support client business needs
  • Work with data processing teams to reformat and redesign data sets for downstream analysis
  • Check data sets for logical consistency prior to analysis
  • Manipulate data into correct format for analysis purposes using Excel or SPSS (weighting and processing as relevant)
  • Support analysis according to client’s requirements or objectives
  • Populate reports (Word / PowerPoint) and write commentary to draw out the key learnings and provide recommendations
  • Work alongside Research team in delivering bespoke and added-value analysis and insight
  • Prepare, plan, prioritise and communicate effectively to ensure deliverables are prepared and sent to schedule
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and team members

  • Develop a good breadth of experience of different analysis techniques.
  • Confidence and demonstrated capabilities & creativities in applying different tools, techniques and approaches


BACKGROUND

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years working experience with data analytics
  • The following platforms will be extensively utilized:
    o Excel
    o SPSS
    o Dimensions
  • Knowledge / experience with analytical techniques:
    o Correlation analysis
    o Driver analysis
    o Turf analysis
    o Regression analysis
    o Data Mining/Data running
  • Strong general analytical skills using quantitative data
  • Optional: knowledge of Python / R

 

Skills/Knowledge:

•    Statistical analysis and knowledge
•    Data manipulation
•    Analytical tools proficiency (eg. Microsoft Excel, SPSS, SAS are essential)
•    Programming languages - Python or R for data analysis and data visualization
•    Solid communication skills
•    Bonus: Experienced in AI, machine learning and deep learning

Qualifications:

•    Degree in Data Science, Statistics/Mathematics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Psychology, Social Science or related studies
