Senior Payroll cum Accounts Executive

Job Description

  • Payroll- Point of contact  with HR to obtain information ie new hire, leavers, promotions and HR related matters to calculate and process monthly payroll, epayslip, yearly EA form. He/she has knowledge of local labour rules and regulations and is able to attend HR related queries                                                  
  • Finance- He/she has accounting background would be  able to check and validate expenses claims ( FE claims, Staff Claims). On top of that, he/she can use the payroll data to analyse and provide useful information to leaders. Assist to do payroll evolution, payroll forecast, budget  
  • Responsible for full spectrum of monthly payroll functions which includes preparation and processing of payroll in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
  • Generate Payroll Register Report and other payroll related reports for internal and external submission.
  • Liaise with the respective government statutory bodies for matters related to EPF, Socso and Income Tax.
  • Ensure accurate, timely payments and compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Ensure the preparation of annual tax reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Process General Ledger postings of payroll related entries and ensure the postings are charged correctly.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance for internal controls and audits.
  • Attend to employee enquiries on payroll related issues.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • A degree holder in Finance/Human Resources/Accounting or any relevant field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in processing payroll and monthly closing
  • A team player with pleasant personality, good attitude and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Good communication skills, proactive and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint.
  • Possess strong drive and enthusiasm with the motivation and credibility for process improvement.
  • Meticulous and good analytical skill
  • Good time management especially in meeting timelines
