What do Egyptians have to say about their National Team in FIFA World Cup 2018?
After 18 years, the Egyptian National Team strikes again in 2018 FIFA World Cup with full support from their national audience. This year, 4 Arab countries will be participating in the World Cup and a survey conducted by Ipsos, has resulted in very unique findings, namely in Egypt. The Egyptians themselves have shown excitement and optimism towards their national team and the World Cup in general throughout the study. They think very highly of their national team and believe in its capabilities. 75% of the Egyptians believe that this year’s team is stronger than any previous team who participated in previous World Cups and 74% of the national audience highly trusts the quality of the players on the team. Unsurprisingly, Mohamed Salah is still taking the spotlight in this year’s football world with 90% of the national audience considering him at the most important player on their national team. The Egyptians have very positive expectations towards their national team whereby 87% think that they will qualify from their national team’s group and 31% expect they will make it to round of 16. On the other hand, 25% of Egyptians believe that their team will win the World Cup, as a break through for Arabs and the whole world.
