In this report from the Spotlight*Egypt series, we delve into the topic of money and finance. The report reveals that only 26% of Egyptians feel confident managing their finances, while nearly half frequently worry about their financial situation. This anxiety has prompted many to adopt a meticulous approach to spending: 60% plan their finances monthly, and a similar proportion track the price of each purchase. Yet, despite these efforts, 1 in 2 overspend beyond their budget, and only 1 in 5 save regularly. Amid these challenges, family stands as both the primary source of financial advice and a crucial support system.
