The findings from the study reveal:
- The majority perspective of Malaysians about the country are progressing.
- Many Malaysians feel that their country is largely controlled by wealthy and influential groups.

Arun Menon, Managing Director, Ipsos Malaysia mentions:
"Our latest survey reveals that a progressive thoughts among Malaysians regarding the country’s current state. The number of Malaysians who believe the country is in decline has decreased by 12%, while those who feel society is broken has fallen by 3%.
Despite this progressive outlook, about two-thirds of Malaysians perceive a significant societal divide and economic imbalance favoring the wealthy and political elites, indicating potential catalysts for social change and a need for institutional trust rebuilding. Addressing this, half of Malaysians believe a strong leader who is willing to break the rules is necessary.
As the world faces increasing uncertainties and new challenges, Malaysia, like other countries, must prepare for potential disruptions and difficulties. Fostering social cohesion with effective leadership will be crucial in navigating these turbulent times and ensuring a stable future for all Malaysians."
