The GCC People Pulse – Word on Work | Q2 2026
The inaugural GCC People Pulse – Word on Work, developed by Ipsos in partnership with EXE: Employee Experience Exchange, provides a comprehensive snapshot of workforce sentiment across the GCC. Drawing on insights from 1,500 employees in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar, the report explores the realities shaping today's employee experience, from advocacy and confidence to wellbeing, inclusion, AI, and retention.
The findings reveal a workforce that remains optimistic about the future of their organisations, with 81% willing to recommend their employer and 77% confident in their organisation's direction. At the same time, challenges persist, as 54% report feeling under constant strain at work, highlighting the growing importance of employee wellbeing alongside organisational performance.
The report also examines employees' attitudes toward artificial intelligence, showing that while 73% believe AI will make their organisation more competitive, nearly half are concerned about its impact on job security. These findings underscore the need for organisations to pair technological transformation with transparent communication and investment in workforce readiness.
Beyond presenting the latest workforce trends, the GCC People Pulse offers practical guidance for business leaders seeking to strengthen employee engagement, build trust, improve retention, and create workplaces that are equipped for the future.
