Newcomers are by far the fastest growing segment of the Canadian market, but they tend to be poorly served because they are poorly understood. The best way to make sure newcomers succeed is to make them feel welcome and provide them with the tools and information they need to integrate quickly and easily into our economy and our communities. Historically, that’s been difficult to do at scale. Until now.
Ipsos, in partnership with the Institute for Canadian Citizenship (ICC), has launched “The Newcomer Perspective”, an ongoing research study of recent immigrants to Canada. The study is Canada’s largest and most comprehensive insights product and captures the full spectrum of the Canadian newcomer experience.
The research brings newcomer’s voices to Canadian leaders in the private and public sectors, providing the insights they need to play their part in making Canada a welcoming country that newcomers fall in love with and contribute to, for life. The Newcomer Perspective includes people at all stages of their immigration journey, from recent arrival through settling in and becoming established as Canadian citizens. From the moment of arrival and in the years that follow, we will track newcomers’ initial and ongoing connections with the businesses and services that define their Canadian experience.
