What Worries Denmark? - June 2023

In June, Climate Change is once again the biggest worry among the Danes.

In June, Climate Change is once again the biggest worry among the Danes. It is mentioned by 16% of the respondents as the biggest challenge Denmark is dealing with today. Looking at the rest of the top worries, we also find the usuals – Healthcare and inflation. Healthcare mentioned by 12% and inflation by 10%.

Looking at the total worries, the top 3 consists of Climate Change, Healthcare and Social Programs / the Welfare State. This is the first time this year that Social Programs / the Welfare State is among the top 3 total worries. It has gone from being mentioned by 17% of the Danes in May to 22% of the Danes in June.

About the study
This study surveys a nationally representative sample of adults aged 18+ across various regions of Denmark, with 500 interviews conducted per month. Weighting has been employed to balance demographics and ensure that the sample’s composition reflects that of the adult population according to the most recent Danish census data.
