The study provides a comprehensive overview of media consumption and product usage for this elusive and important group, which accounts for the top 18% by income of the population in the region.
When the study was first launched in 1997, it covered just 7 cities. Today Affluent Asia Pacific covers 13 cities representing a population of over 10 million people aged 25-64. The survey is conducted year-round, and Ipsos spoke with 19,103 affluent people across the region (with 1,760 of them from Hong Kong) to obtain the 2016 results.
The survey received many enhanced through the years to remain competitive and adapt to the changing times, becoming a fully brand centric and digital study. Future enhancements include the ability to assess the influence of moods on media consumption habits and identify key opportunities for brand insertions.
The 2016 launch events Hong Kong and Singapore attracted over 160 media clients (media owners, media agencies and advertisers) and an extensive press coverage, to the delight of the survey sponsors. The team is now preparing the 20thlaunch anniversary in 2017!
