IPSOS GLOBAL CONSUMER CONFIDENCE INDEX FEBRUARY 2025 - MARCH 2026
Indonesia’s consumer confidence shows a downward trend in March 2026, reflecting growing caution—especially around future expectations.
The Ipsos Global Consumer Confidence Index (GCCI) highlights how global dynamics can influence consumer sentiment. In Indonesia, the index declined from 62.6 in January to 62.4 in February, before dropping to 59.2 in March 2026.
Despite the decline, Indonesia remains above the 50-point threshold, indicating overall optimism. Compared to 30 countries, Malaysia is the only one above 60 this month, while Indonesia stands at 59.2 alongside several other countries such as India and Thailand.
The decline is seen across all four key components:
- Current situation (down 2.5 points)
- Expectations for the near future (down 5.1 points)
- Investment confidence (down 2.9 points)
- Job security (down 2.3 points)
While confidence remains relatively strong, the trend suggests increasing caution among Indonesian consumers, mainly driven by weaker expectations for the future.
