JNLR Report - Radio and the Audio Market

Almost universal weekly listening to Live Radio among the population (92%). This compares to 53% listening to on-demand, online audio.

79% of Irish people tune into live radio everyday compared to 25% who stream music and 5% who listen to podcasts daily – new JNLR ‘Radio and the Irish Audio Market’ report.

    The latest JNLR/Ipsos report into radio listening is published today (7th November 2024). It covers the period from October 2023 to September 2024.

    The latest results show 3.42 million listeners (15+) tune into radio every weekday – that is daily radio listening at 79.5% of all adults. Listening levels in the past week increase to 89.7% of the population.

    A total of c 16,600 people were interviewed during the survey period by Ipsos B&A, on behalf of JNLR.
