Kāinga Ora has commissioned Ipsos, to carry out this survey on its behalf.
Participation in this survey is voluntary, and you are free to withdraw your consent at any time, either by not completing this survey or later by contacting us as described under: “Who to contact if you have any questions about this survey or this privacy policy?”. Your decision to participate will not affect your relationship with Kāinga Ora in any way.
The close off date of the survey is Friday 4th October 2024.

This survey is completely anonymous. However, Ipsos will only collect information from you if you choose to provide your details in order to enter the Prezzy Card prize draw. The information we will request from you is your first name and email address only.
If you contact Ipsos for any reason regarding this survey, Ipsos will also use any contact information you may provide to respond to your request.
How will Ipsos use the information you provide?
Your participation in this survey, together with your individual responses to the questions will be kept strictly confidential by Ipsos.
Your responses to this survey will be used solely for survey analysis purposes only. The results of this survey will be anonymised, and we can assure you that you will NOT be identifiable in any published results. Who will have access to your information?
Access to your information will be limited to only those Ipsos staff involved in this survey project, or who need access to support the systems used for this survey, such as the online survey and survey data analysis systems. This may include staff in:
- Other Ipsos Group companies involved in this survey.
- Our sub-contractors who may carry out some of the processing on Ipsos’s behalf, and under Ipsos’s control; including the service providers who host or provide technical support for our systems.
Some of the above may be based outside the European Economic Area; however, they are required to abide by the same data privacy legal requirements and security arrangements as ourselves (Ipsos is a French multinational company and therefore abides with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)) and will be subject to appropriate safeguards. All findings of this survey will be reported to Kainga Ora and only personally identifiable information of those that have won the prize draw will be shared.
How long will Ipsos keep the information you provide?
At the end of the project, scheduled for 4 October 2024, we will securely delete all the personal data, one month later, leaving only anonymous survey results. Ipsos New Zealand will also securely destroy the personal data provided for this survey at this time.
How does Ipsos ensure your personal data is held securely?
We take very seriously our responsibilities to keep your personal data secure. As such we take every reasonable precaution to ensure your information is protected from loss, theft or misuse. These precautions include appropriate physical security of our offices, controlled access to computer systems, and use of secure, encrypted internet connections when collecting personal data.
Does this survey use Cookies or similar code?
Some on-line surveys collect information through the use of 'cookies'. These are small files stored on your computer. These files are used as sparingly as possible and only for quality control, validation and, more importantly, to prevent us sending you reminders for an on-line survey you have already completed. It is possible for you to delete 'cookies' or to prevent their use by adjusting the browser settings on your computer.
We also automatically capture information about your operating system, display settings and browser type in order to ensure that the survey questionnaire is delivered in a form suited to the software your computer is using. We do not capture any other information from your computer.

Ipsos Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
All information published by the Promoter on how to enter, and the prize, forms part of these terms and conditions.
Participants will be entered into the prize draw by participating in the Ipsos / Kāinga Ora survey and agreeing to sharing their details with Ipsos (at the end of the survey) and agreeing to these competition terms and conditions.
For the Draw there are 5x $100 Prezzy card to be won during the survey period of 20th September 2024 – 4th October 2024 (Promotional Period).
The promotion period for the draw ends at 12.00pm on the 4th October 2024. Participants who complete the survey and enter the prize draw before this time are entered into the prize draw.
Participants are eligible only to enter the prize draw once.
Employees of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion shall not be eligible for the prize draws.
Entry is open to New Zealand residents over the age of 18.
Entries submitted which enclose partial information, are submitted by or through dishonest means, fraud or illegal activity, or entries not complying with these terms and conditions, are invalid.
The winners for the draw will be chosen randomly from all eligible entries. The draw will be held approximately one week after the 4th October 2024. The winners will be notified as soon as practicable via the email address provided. If the Promoter is unable to contact a winner within 10 working days of the date of the Monthly Draw, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited their prize and a new winner will be drawn on the same terms as the original competition. No compensation will be given to a person who wins a prize but cannot be contacted.
The Promoter takes no responsibility for lost, damaged, misdirected, late, illegible or incomplete registrations or entries, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures, failures of computer equipment or software, inability to access telecommunications network services, corruption of any format holding an entry, or any other error or malfunction.
All entries are deemed to be received on submission of a completed survey to the Promoter. The draw will close at 12.00 pm on 4th October 2024. Records of the Promoter are final and conclusive as to time of receipt.
The prize is not transferrable.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its associated agencies are not liable in any way (including, without limitation, in negligence) for any loss, damage or injury (including indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with participation in this promotion or the use of the prize.
The Promoter reserves the right to alter any aspect of the promotion at any time at its sole discretion.
The Promoter’s decisions on all matters relating to this promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
