[Webinar] Alternative Funding Models for High-Cost Innovative Drugs - Thailand & APAC
Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Ipsos in Singapore, and Roche recognized the importance of treating cancer patients or those with rare diseases that there have been significant rapid advancements in technology, research, and the development of groundbreaking medications approved by regulatory bodies such as the Food and Drug Administration, both in Thailand and internationally. However, within the context of Thailand's healthcare system, there are still limitations that hinder timely access to these aforementioned medications, leaving patients with difficulties in receiving the necessary treatment.
In light of this, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Ipsos in Singapore and Roche collaborated to organize a virtual webinar entitled "Alternative Funding Models for High-Cost Innovative Drugs – Thailand & APAC." The objective of this webinar is to disseminate knowledge about research efforts focused on developing policy proposals for new alternative financing mechanisms that enhance patients’ access to innovative medications. Additionally, the event aims to facilitate the exchange of Thailand and APAC experiences and opinions regarding the International Medicine Fund (IMF) or Managed Entry Agreement (MEA) systems implemented by governments in the Asia-Pacific region e.g. Korea, and particularly in the future of Thailand and SEA roadmap.
