Consumer Confidence Canada: Monthly Update

Take a look at our latest Canadian Consumer Confidence data.

Ipsos tracks consumer confidence monthly, exploring:

  • Overall Confidence reflects all metrics combined.

Below is our latest update.

October 22, 2025 Update

October’s insights show that while overall confidence remains stagnant (down 1 point) at -6%, there is a contrast between an increasing optimism regarding personal prospects juxtaposed with a waning confidence in the national economy. This trend suggests a dynamic shift of Canadians, anticipating tough economic times, may be proactively adapting their personal strategies in the face of challenging economic conditions.

Notably, while these figures remain negative, there is an incremental enhancement across several areas, including perceptions of the current and future economy, as well as personal financial circumstances. However, the persistent sentiment seems to reflect Canadians' enduring struggle with economic stability.
