Ipsos-Reid Strengthens Its Canadian Public Affairs Team
Amanda brings over 15 years of insight and practical experience in public policy, communications strategy and opinion research on a wide range of economic and social issues in both private and public sector environments.
Most recently, she held the position of Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and Communications at the Canadian Marketing Association where she managed a diverse portfolio including the Association's communications activities, research program and policy development in areas such as privacy, consumer protection, and postal affairs. Prior to that Amanda was based in Ottawa and held senior strategic communications positions in the federal government including the departments of Finance and Foreign Affairs and International Trade. While in the government she was involved in a range of national and regional files including the federal budget, Canada Pension Plan reform, NAFTA negotiations, and consular and immigration issues. Amanda has also worked in research and communications positions in the not-for-profit sector focusing on post-secondary education.
Amanda is a frequent presenter/speaker on privacy and ethical marketing practices and is a member of the federal government's Anti-Spam Task Force. She is a graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa.
