Social Messaging - March 2018

Highlights from March Social Messaging 2018:

•    WhatsApp continues to grow and now stands at 64% account ownership for March 2018.
•    Over 1.6 million adults aged 15+ in the Republic of Ireland use WhatsApp on a daily basis.

*Daily usage figures calculated based on latest Census population data for adults aged 15+ in the Republic of Ireland, using the account ownership and daily usage percentages for March 2018 infographic. 

This research was conducted as part of Ipsos MRBI’s Omnipoll service which interviews a fresh sample of 1,000 adults in Ireland aged 15+ every two weeks. Respondents were interviewed via telephone in March 2018.
