Kenyans Unwavering Support for the Handshake!
Majority of Kenyans (80%) still support the March 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga; though this support is slightly lower in Central, Rift Valley and Western regions. The main reason for the support of the handshake is that it has brought about peace and unity in the (86%) and eased political tensions in the country.

Not a Happy Easter for Kenyans!
Drought and Famine is the Most Serious Problem Affecting Kenyans: The general perception in the past has been that corruption is the most serious problem facing Kenyans. However, from these findings, we observe that the most serious problem affecting Kenyans in their locality is drought and famine (47%).

While the President broke a record of sorts meeting three leaders in a span of one week, it will be the outcome of the meetings that Kenyans should be interested in…the meetings have presented Kenya with an opportunity to perhaps get the best from the antagonist ends that is [sic] the West and the East – with the US and UK as the epitome of Western influence. Awareness of Current Corruption Scandals
This report is the result of Ipsos’ 2nd Quarter national SPEC household survey conducted between 25th July and 2nd August, 2018. The survey covered a broad range of economic, political and other subjects in addition to the main focus included here: the governance issue of corruption. While much of the data relates to issues and events that continue to unfold, the recent intense media and public attention on corruption exposures and investigations suggests the utility of releasing these results first.
