In the new role, Murthy will be responsible for leading customer experience strategy at a senior level with Ipsos’s major clients in New Zealand.
Murthy brings 15 years experience in delivering customer experience programs from business case to implementation. She is a commercially astute customer experience strategy leader, passionate about developing and leading transformational change to deliver excellent customer experiences across all channels. Most recently, Murthy led CX Design at New Zealand Post, after implementing an enterprise CX Voice of the Customer solution for IAG, where she was Enterprise Customer Experience Manager. Prior to IAG, she was a Senior Strategic Advisor of Customer Strategy at New Zealand’s Inland Revenue, and has also worked at Kiwibank and IBM. Murthy is certified in Human Centred Design and has a Masters in Business Administration (Distinction).
The Ipsos New Zealand business continues to grow and Amrutha is a fantastic addition to our extremely talented leadership team in New Zealand. Her customer experience expertise will be invaluable to our clients who want to develop customer centric cultures,” Hercock said.
“Amrutha completely understands the business issues our clients are facing and will offer a really valuable service leading the development of their CX programs and strategies. We are thrilled to have her on board.”
Ipsos ANZ Managing Director Customer Experience, Richard Korn, said: “We’re very excited to have Amrutha join the business as she brings some pertinent skills that will enable our clients in Australia and New Zealand to further enhance their customer experience. Globally, Ipsos is leading the way when it comes to CX and this continues to be a major growth area locally too. With Amrutha’s direct, hands on experience in developing and embedding customer strategy, she will certainly be able to add value to our existing clients as well as lead the charge in New Zealand in growing our business.”
Commenting on her new role, Murthy said: “I’m excited to join the amazing team at Ipsos New Zealand, supported by the reputable Ipsos global Customer Experience network. I am looking forward to working for an organisation that really cares about people – customers and employees. Working at Ipsos will give me the opportunity to use my skills to help Kiwi businesses bring customers to heart of their organisations and attracting and retaining customers in a very competitive market.”
Murthy’s appointment follows last month’s announcement that Amanda Dudding has joined Ipsos New Zealand as Director, Public Affairs Research and head of the Wellington office.
Murthy’s appointment is effective immediately.
