The most important problems according to Canadians

Each month, we ask Canadians to name three issues they find most worrying for their country. Participants are presented with a range of topics to choose from, and their responses highlight the issues that preoccupy public opinion. The latest release of our Global Advisor survey of June 27, 2023, conducted in 29 countries, shows that inflation is the number one concern for Canadians (53% of respondents).

Is Canada headed in the right direction?

How do Canadians feel about the direction of the country? Public opinion is pessimistic; as of June 2023, 62% of respondents believe the country is on the wrong track.

Canadians' happiness

Taken together, are Canadians happy?  According to our Global Hapiness survey published on March 2023, 74% of Canadians describe themselves as happy.
