A Refreshing Take on Beverage Trends: Generational Differences

Revisit our on demand webinar to hear more about the interdependencies of generational forces, category trends and evolving situational dynamics, as well as how their interactions impact and will continue to shape how Canadians drink.

Listen in as we share a refreshing take on the trends shaping the Canadian Beverage Landscape, exploring how the developing generational shift is influencing Canadians’ habits and attitudes towards beverages. It is no surprise that trends matter, but the same trend can also mean very different things for different generations or impact each generation differently.

While a lot of what is written about generations is misleading (or wrong), when used correctly, a generational lens is a really effective way of understanding how and why societies and their consumption change. In this webinar we discuss:

  1. WHY the Canadian Beverage Landscape is clearly defined by the generational split and how their unique consumption impacts categories’ growths & declines.
  2. HOW Conscious Consumption and Evolving Situational Factors macro trends are shaping current (and future) beverage choices, as well as how these trends are driven by and/or manifest differently by generational cohort.
  3. WHAT are some of the unique characteristics (beverage development, demographics, occasions and motivations) as well as actionable take-aways for each of the three main beverage macro-categories (Hot Beverages, Cold Beverages and Alcohol Beverages).
