As part of the Spotlight*KSA series, in this report we tackle gender equality in the Kingdom. The report reveals that 46% believe men and women are currently treated equally in the Kingdom, while 42% agree that women should have the same freedom of choice as men do today.
When it comes to household gender roles, over half believe that men should be the main financial providers in the household, while around a third see that the main role for a woman is to be a housewife. However, almost half (45%) believe that men today have more childcare and home responsibilities than before.
6 in 10 respondents believe that men and women should be paid equally for the same job position, but only around 3 in 10 say that addressing the gender pay gap should be a top priority at the moment.
