Final Election Outlook 7 May 2019 in South Africa
With service delivery in the spotlight over the last few months, the most important post-1994 election in South Africa’s history will take place on Wednesday 8 May 2019 and, in spite of the electorate’s unhappiness about service delivery and other issues, it is unlikely that the low turnout figure and the phenomenon of ANC “stay-away voters” of the local government elections of August 2016 will be repeated.

While meningococcal meningitis is relatively uncommon, it is unpredictable, may progress very rapidly and can lead to death in as little as 24 hours from the first symptoms.(1,2)
Although only a few of those exposed to the bacteria will actually develop disease, adolescents and young adults are more likely than any other age group to carry the bacteria without showing symptoms, with carriage rates peaking in 19 year olds with almost 1 in 4 (24%) carrying.(3) -
