UPDATE: We won! Read our announcement here!
ESOMAR just announced its finalists for the 2025 ESOMAR Awards and Ipsos Canada’s partnership with CIGI is on the short-list for Research Impact Award-Global.
Our Submission: Supporting Safer Digital Spaces
Tech-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) is a pervasive global issue, yet its prevalence and impact remain largely uncharted, especially in the Global South. This groundbreaking multi-year research project, conducted by Ipsos Canada, in partnership with the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and International Development Research Centre (IDRC), provides the first comprehensive international study of TFGBV, encompassing 36 countries and 36,000+ participants. The study reveals alarming rates of online harm, disproportionately affecting women, gender-diverse, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
The survey results, papers and the Supporting Safer Digital Spaces report from this project aim to inform policy recommendations and navigate shared governance issues that are integral to designing responses to TFGBV. Most importantly, the findings are actively shaping policy recommendations and interventions worldwide, paving the way for safer digital spaces for all.
Ipsos is extremely proud in partnering on this study, and for being recognized as an Awards finalist by ESOMAR.
By the way, Ipsos is also speaking at the conference. Check out our topic here.
