The majority of New Zealanders (57%) have stated that if the government does not act now to combat climate change, it will be failing the people of New Zealand. Notably, just 37% of believe that the New Zealand government has a clear plan in place for how the government, businesses and people themselves are going to work together to tackle climate change, according to a new study from Ipsos.

Sixty-nine percent of nearly 20,000 men and women surveyed across 28 countries say they have modified their consumer behaviour out of concern about climate change. But while two out of three New Zealanders say they have modified their behaviour out of concern about climate change; they are no more likely than the global average to have done so.

The theme for World Water Day 2017 is “Why waste water?” and is in support of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 6.3 to improve water quality by reducing, treating and reusing wastewater.
