Spotlight*KSA: Views on Economic Recovery

Views and perception of economic recovery in Saudi Arabia post COVID-19.

As part of the Spotlight*KSA series, this report showcases locals' perceptions and anticipation of the economic recovery in Saudi Arabia post the impact of COVID-19 in comparison to a global average pertaining to responses from 29 countries.

The majority of respondents in the kingdom (38%), including both Saudis and expats 16 years and older, believe that the anticipated recovery period is a year from now, while the majority worldwide (39%) say that the global anticipated recovery is in more than 3 years. 

When asked about the signs of economic recovery in Saudi Arabia, the majority said that new businesses opening, more tourists, and people getting new jobs are the top 3 indicators. 

On the other hand, according to locals (46%), the most trusted entity to lead the economic recovery is the government, followed by individuals themselves.
