Canadian Public Perspectives: Tracking Economic Assessments

Canadians' assessments of the national economy remain stable with two-thirds (65%) consistently holding positive views. Of the 24 countries studied, Canada is among the top countries internationally on this sentiment. In comparison, the U.S. and the main European Union countries are down near or at the bottom of the list. While stable in their national views, there has been a slight downtick since the spring in Canadians' optimism about their personal finances in the next six months.
