Public Perspectives: Tracking Crime & Violence on the National and Global Issue Agenda

Despite recent events and headlines in the U.S., Canadians rank crime and violence well down the list on the national issue agenda. Crime and violence (15%) lands in eighth spot, far behind the top three issues: healthcare (39%), unemployment and jobs (37%) and taxes (32%). Clearly, there are a lot more issues that Canadians will be tuned into leading up to the federal election.
