As we enter the final stretch of the federal election campaign, Canadians can expect economic platforms and policies to dominate the discourse. Positive ratings on the national economy have plummeted as 45% of Canadians rate the economy as very or somewhat good. Down from 66% in 2014 and the mid-60% range over the past five years. Concern over economic issues has increased placing unemployment and jobs (42%) ahead of healthcare (36%) and taxes (33%) among Canadians' top national issues.
