Trend: The desire to improve and control health remains one of the most consistent findings of Ipsos Global Trends since it began in 2013. Across 38 markets large majorities continue to say they need to do more to look after their physical health, want more control over decisions about their health, and would like to lose weight.

How it has TRANSFORMED: Yet, what has shifted is the equal importance we now place on mental health. As we’ve seen in the latest Ipsos Health Service Report, mental health has been the leading global health concern for the past few years. It’s not our desire to be healthy that’s changed, it’s our expanding definition of what health looks like. With the emergence of GLP-1s and other therapies, health and wellbeing are increasingly seen as concepts that can be optimised, not just measured.
