How happy or unhappy are people around the world with their housing situation?

The Ipsos Housing Monitor is a new 30-country study looking at how people perceive their own and their country’s housing situation, and the challenges facing both.

Key research findings:

  • Renters are less happy than homeowners with their housing
  • A majority in all countries believe everyone has a right to own their home
  • Very few across all countries feel they benefit from rising house prices
  • All generations think it was or is harder for them to get a home than it was for their parents
  • Europeans more pessimistic than about housing in their country
